Official signing of contract between the Ministry for Transport-Infrastructures of Albania and the Company “Egnatia Odos AE”

Official signing of contract between the Ministry for Transport-Infrastructures of Albania and the Company “Egnatia Odos AE”

Within the context of its international presence as a specialized company, providing consultancy services to major infrastructure projects, “Egnatia Odos AE” proceeded today, Friday 13th March 2015, to the signing of the contract regarding “Tolling strategy for the Albanian road network”, assigned to the company following an international competition. The contract was signed by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Albania mr E. Haxhinasto and the Chairman & Managing Director of Egnatia Odos AE, professor Georgios Skodras. The scope of the contract involves the preparation of a strategic plan for the Albanian Government, for the use of tolls along the country’s road network and is financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development  (EBRD).

Furthermore, on Thursday 12th March 2015, the kick off meeting of the contract “Consultancy Services for the supervision of construction of Avlona Ring Road” took place, involving representatives of the Joint Venture with Egnatia Odos AE being the leader party, the Albanian European Committee and the Albanian Road Authority. The contract duration is 44 months, commencing on 10.03.2015 with a contractual scope of 1.663.300 euros.

Egnatia Odos AE having succeeded as one of the most important companies specializing in the management and supervision of highway construction projects and other consultancy services regarding infrastructure works, is actively engaged abroad with the project management and supervision in Albania, Romania and Serbia, where branch offices have been established, as well as the submission of bids to international competitions in other neighboring countries.
